Successor

To the mighty Lamborghini Murcielago.

Compared to the Hot Wheels version, this Tomica rendition of the Lamborghini flagship model looks a bit pudgy.

Maybe the cast on the front air dam is just thick. Maybe coats of paint made the front profile even thicker. It maybe because Tomica overshot the Arancio Argo (Pearl Orange) color a wee bit. Or maybe it's the improper ride height. But maybe, it's just me.

Meh. I really don't care for any shortcomings. If a casting is featured in this blog, it means that it is worthy of attention (which is probably why I bought it in the first place), and photo-gallery-worthy.

Speaking of Aventadors, you may want to see this video of one breaking into two pieces as a result of a collision with a sedan. It's one of those "Oh f*ck." moments:

Two pieces? Yup. Two. Pieces.

Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident.

actually, is not only you, LOL... i think as well, that the diecasts by Tomica are very poor in faithfulness and accuracy in comparison with other brands (including Hot Wheels)... and the worst is that, in my country, these are extremely expensive (about US$17 e/o), which is just too much for something so nitwit... only the paint job is worthy... =)

It's nice to know that I'm sharing the same sentiment regarding some Tomica diecasts, Chris. :)

I also second the observation you have made about their paint job. They've got excellent paint jobs on their models... as long as it's not metallic. Their metallic flakes are a bit too large, which makes for scale problems when the diecasts are photographed up close.

US$17? Too steep for a basic Tomica! You can already get a Kyosho/OEM for that price.

Anyway, thanks for dropping by, buddy. :)
